The following map shows the locations of our Swift Champions (as of April 2016). We have
quite a wide geographical spread. It is to be hoped more symbols can be added in future.
We plan to hold a training event for our Swift Champions so that we can learn the techniques for
finding nesting Swifts.

finding nesting Swifts.
Continue to be a Swift champion in my local area, covering Pyle, North Corneli and Kenfig Hill in Bridgend CBC. This year I was delighted (putting it mildly!) to locate 2 nests sites on the Marlas housing estate running along the main railway line in Pyle, with its own station. This is a pathetically low number and the nests are very likely to be at risk as they are under the eaves in blocks of maisonettes. I've emailed the housing association - Valleys to Coast - to propose a partnership approach to installing nest boxes - but had not reply (as of end of July 2020). Also delighted to locate 3 nests in one property in Kenfig Hill. It's very difficult to track birds entering nests when observing alone but it won't stop me trying.
